Please view the available dogs below. The dogs listed below are available through a variety of other sources. Some are available through other non-profit rescue groups, some are from people wishing to re-home their Dutch Shepherd or possible Dutch Shepherd mix and some are from city and county animal shelters. Please be aware that none of the dogs listed below have been evaluated by a NADSR representative.

If you are interested in adopting any of the dogs listed below, please contact the rescue or individual who has that dog directly.

	Lyric in TN Lyric is a gorgeous purebred female Dutch Shepherd - Here is what her Foster mom Shannon has to say: 6 year old Dutch shepherd, be a great protection dog for a family. She's been stressed before in some type of training. She wants to play but it's been forced. She appears to have been a brood bitch and has not been spayed. She is dominant with other dogs. She has growled and even tried to snap at my dog. She tugs like a mad woman but she has a missing tooth that keeps her from doing as much as she wants. I think she was kept in a kennel because she will use the bathroom in my garage when she is there but rarely in the house. 	Shemp in NY Shemp is approximately 4 years old and is a Dutch Shepard Mix. He has been with us for 2 1/2 years but his Pack leader daddy passed away in September and life has changed for him. Shemp is approximately 55 pounds and very energetic. He likes to go for walks and loves to run around the yard in the snow. He attends Daycare at Purrfect Paws animal behavior center and also takes a nosework class that is in its third level. Shemp needs someone who can give him room to exercise and spend time with him as he is very people oriented and loyal to his owner (s) He know his obedience commands such has sit, stay, stop, off and settle. He is also house broken and has been crated. Since I work he has not got the time and attention he deserves. He has not had exposure to young children to be able to determine if that type of home would be suitable and he gets along with some dogs but not all dogs. He likes to play chase and ball but is very strong and needs help settling due to his energy level. These are things that I have not had time to give him.
